Sick Of Walking Alone

Vance looked down at Savris who had sat down and opened a book. "What the heck..."

Katrien looks down at Savris, who is sitting in the middle of the street with a book, and sighs. Wow... She thinks to herself before simply continuing to walk forward down the road.

"Hey don't just ditch me like that!" Vance laughed as he walked quickly to catch up with her.

Katy laughed slightly.
"Sorry." she says as she sticks her hands in her pockets.

"Its fine, I just didn't want to walk off and feel lonely again." He grinned and put his hands into the pockets of his jacket.

"So what's it like to be half-werewolf?" Katy asks after a moment in a sad attempt to make conversation.

Vance laughed. "Its like being a human, except with extra powers, an additional guaranteed 50 years of life, and of course the ears." He brushed the cat ears on his head to make them perk up.

Katrien laughed.
"Ah, I see." she says, smiling.

"Well alright I have to ask, whats it like being a vampire then?" He put his hands back in his pockets.

"Well it's not really something you can describe. You've got to experience it to know what vampirism is like. But I suppose I'll try..." Katrien begins, then thinks for a moment and continues. "Being a vampire can be hard to get used to at first, but after a while drinking blood, living forever, and avoiding getting too much sun just become normal. It can be lonely at times, especially since making human friends is nearly impossible, but it's not too bad. I don't really know how else to explain it, though."

Vance laughed "Its alright, makes sense to me. Either way, it does seem to be largely habit for both of us after a while. Routine, so to speak."

Katy stops walking and looks at Vance.
"What does?" she asks, confused.

"The whole being a vampire thing." He laughed. "Sudden immediate short term memory loss?"

"Oh. Right. Sorry I sorta spaced for a minute." Katy says and resumes walking, slightly embarrassed.

"Its alright. I hate when that happens, you hold on to a question or a statement you want to say for so long that it just disappears completely." He laughed and resumed walking.

Katy smiled.
"Mhm."

"Ya..." Vance wasn't really sure what to say next.
