The Return

Maigo nodded at Vance and walked into the house. She didn't have anything to say.

"I was raised in this house for a long time" He said. "This town, Dubin, is my home town. This is where everything started and ended for me."

Vance stepped inside behind Maigo and looked around the house.

Maigo placed her arms behind her back and headed straight for Reks' parent's room, out of curiosity. It was her turn to feel the weight of seemingly endless guilt set upon her shoulders, but she needed to get it out of her system.

Vance headed towards the stairway down, that led to the basement.

Maigo walked through the door of the Parent's room and looked around. She made her way to the bed, sitting next to the family album and picked it up, looking at the pictures.

Rek's walked into the room and looked a Maigo. "Thats... my family." He sat next to her with a sigh.

Maigo continued looking at the various pictures, flipping the pages. "I thought so." she muttered, looking at the album.

Vance walked down into the basement, using his natural night vision to look around. He almost gasped then caught himself and held it. He slowly inched up the stairs, careful not to make it creak.

Rek's found himself unnaturally close to Maigo, feeling maybe... like a brother to her now? he sighed looking up at the ceiling wondering whats got over him.

Vance slowly walked into the family room and sat down on a chair in the corner. He had a shocked expression and didn't say a word.

She felt more and more dejected by each page she turned. Maigo passed the book over to Reks. "Here." she said, unable to look at any more.

He took and and set it behind him, trying to ignore the dark spot on the side of the bed. "So... What made you come to Dublin?"

Vance stood up and walked out of the room. "I'm just gonna, look around... so ya, I'll be back in a sec."

"I just wanted to get away from that war-ridden Paris.." she said, looking at Reks. "Not that this place is particularly better." she sighed.

He sighed. "Very true... This place has melted away from when I once knew it." He looked at her. "Everything I remember has vanished except for this house."

She stretched her arms out as she laid back in the bed, hoping for some sort of peace to enter her mind. "I haven't visited New York since I left it. Though It's likely that my house, along with any belongings my family had left have been ..gotten rid of.." she smiled wryly. "Be happy that you still have something to come back to."

Vance walked out onto the porch of the house, staring out into the night. Lots of the vampires had become active, and were roaming the streets freely.

He stood up and took off his hat and cloak, setting it on a wall hanger. "I shouldn't wear these in my own home" He thought, as he sat back down. "I half way wish that some things were not here..." he muttered. "But at least..... some things have been removed."

"Removed?" she asked, standing up off the bed, looking around at the room.

He shrugged and slightly nodded his head toward the dark spot on the ground.

Maigo looked at the dark spot on the ground. "...ah..." she murmured, unable to think of anything else to say. "Reks, did you happen to hear or see another Vampire come in here with you?" she asked.

He shook his head. "Only you."

Odd..could've sworn I saw someone else come in here...and Vance is gone? she thought. She shook her head. "Well, looks like Vance left. And I think I've stayed here longer than I should have." she said.

Vance stepped back in, after over hearing their conversation. "Ya, there's a vamp upstairs. I think its Katy. An aquaintance of mine. The basement is worse."
