The Return

"How could they even do this..." He muttered kneeling down. "First kill them, feed the blood of the mother to the child and then feed the remains to a werewolf...." His eyes scanned the bones. "I'm still... all alone"

Maigo, despite his harsh remarks to the Vampires earlier, knelt down beside him, again placing a hand on his shoulder. She looked at him with reassuring eyes, finding herself unable to verbally tell him that she would be his ally to a human this way.

Vance stood slightly off to the side. He didn't want to interrupt them.

His eyes wandered to her face. "M-Maigo..." He whispered. He could now barely move or speak.

Maigo's eyes glittered with unshed tears as she worked up a gentle smile and slowly nodded.

"...You're not alone..." she whispered.

"Tch..." Vance turned around and walked back upstairs. "I'll fix up the front door, make it more vampire proof." He found a hammer and nails and some boards and nailed the door back up and boarded it up with the boards.

"But that doesn't mean you can go on and kill anything you want to." she added.

He slowly sighed and nodded. "I..." He paused. "If.... I do see something attack a human or any thing else..." he looked at her eyes. "Will you be fine with that Maigo? I will not attack without a reason."

Her smile faded as she looked back at the ground. "I..broke my promise a little already." she paused, looking back up at him. "If 'something' attacks a human or vice versa, and the human hunts Vampires or any other type of creature that might actually be innocent, I'd let them fight alone...or you could side with the creature.." she paused. "If 'something' attacks a human, and the human is innocent." she swallowed hard. "Ask whoever is attacking the human if he or she knows me, or tell him or her about the events that happened today or that happened in Paris. Otherwise..." again, she paused, looking at the ground. "...you can kill 'it'" she muttered. "However, I'm going to try my best to be there, no matter what the condition...I'm not sure how..but I'll try."

His eyes locked on hers, his memory and conscious were fighting. He was barely able to answer her now. "A...agreed." he muttered.

Vance was keeping watch from the 1st floor windows. A few vampires came up to the house, but soon went away after looking around a bit. At least they're gone...

Can't believe I just said that.. she thought.

She stood back up and looked at the bones. "We...should probably bury them." she said.

His eyes lowered to the bones of his family again. "yeah..." He whispered as he stood up.

((OOC: BRB Later))

"I-I'm..not really good with this sort of thing so..I'll just..head up.." she said, walking up the stairs of the basement to also keep watch from the 1st floor.

Vance noticed Maigo coming upstairs. "Something happen? Wheres Reks?" He looked back outside and noticed that the young vampire from earlier was out on the porch, hiding under one of the wicker rocking chairs outside. "I think he might actually still be in control. I can't be too sure, but it seems like it." He kept staring out into the night, watching for the signs of another attack.

"Reks is still in the basement. We're going to bury the bones." she said to Vance. She glanced at the young vampire. "..he's probably scared half to death.." she muttered. "I should probably go out there and check up on 'em."

Vance stuck the Zetsu under one of the window sills and pried it open. "Well I'll go get him then." He stepped out there and, seeing that the little one was asleep, picked him up and carried him in. "Wow, I can't believe hes survived this long. He looks to be only seven..." Vance set the kid down on the bed in Reks' parents' room.

Maigo followed Vance over to the parent's bedroom and stood over the bed, looking down on the child. "He should have parents, shouldn't he? Or atleast maybe siblings.." she started. "He DOES look young.." she said putting a hand on her chin. "What's he doing all alone?"

"I'd doubt parents OR siblings. If there are any, they've probably gone past the point of no return." He looked at the kid and checked him over. "He looks to be in good health and there's no sign of physical injury or illness. I think that hes probably just been looking for someone to take care of him."

"Poor thing.." she sighed. A weak smile had worked its way over her face as she came up with an idea, although not sure if Vance and most of all, Reks, would agree. "We can't just leave him out here, that's for sure." she said.

"Agreed. At the moment, we should probably let him sleep. I'll keep first watch over the house, get some rest." With that, he turned around and walked back out into the hallway, taking up a position at the front door.

She sustained her weak smile as she leaned against the wall, looking at the child. Maigo closed the door to the bedroom so he could sleep, then leaned against the wall once again with crossed arms as she once again set her gaze on the child. I probably shouldn't let Reks know about the boy yet...if the boy wakes up he's probably going to get scared seeing a human..guess I'd best keep watch in here, myself. she thought.

The boy rolled over on his stomach as he slept. Cute..

Rek's took off his cloak and laid it onto the floor and stacked the bones onto it, once they were all in he tied it and carried it over his back up the stairs. He saw Vance looking out, he didn't care for he could take care of himself. And if the other vampires did not hear of what happened, well they would learn. Rek's turned the knob and walked outside, the vampires who were near by saw him and slowly backed away, leaving him alone. He dropped the back and found a shovel on the side of the house, he put his foot on the shovel and began digging.
"I should have done this long ago..." he muttered as he shoveled another piece of dirt out. "Now they will have a proper burial." After five minutes he looked down at the hole and nodded, it was big enough. He took the cloak and jumped into the hole. "And now you rest..." he whispered as he laid the bones onto the dirt. He took a something out of his pocket, an amulet and set it onto the bones. "What is your's is yours to keep, good bye..." With that he dusted off his cloak and climbed out of the hole. He took the shovel and put the dirt back over the hole, covering his memories.

A few minutes later, Maigo figured she'd check the basement again to see if Reks had taken out the bones. She quietly opened the door, then closed it again just as gently as she headed down towards the basement. Sure enough, the bones were gone. Guess he buried 'em.. she thought as she made her way back up towards the parent's bedroom, again gently opening and closing the door.

Her eyes widened slightly as she noticed that the child had awakened while she left the room to go to the basement and had now rushed towards the corner of the room, looking at her with piercing eyes as though to say "Don't take a step closer."

Nevertheless, Maigo merely smiled as she slowly worked her way towards where the child was as he was wincing a little with each and every step she took. Well, he thought he was sleeping under a rocker but now, he woke up finding himself in this nice bedroom.

"I won't hurt you." she said, gently. She knelt down in front of the child, who was still looking at her with those same piercing eyes. He was looking as though he was prepared to attack at any moment. "Hey." she whispered to him with a gentle smile, holding out her hand. Of course the child didn't say anything back, he barely knew her, not to mention Vance and Reks. "My name's Maigo, nice to meet you." she said, quietly.

The boy's piercing eyes didn't leave her own, but he slowly put his hands back by his side, because before they were in a sort of fighting stance as sloppy as it may have been. He slowly put out his own arm half-way before deciding it was best not to trust her yet. Maigo, however, still smiled, looking at him with compassionate eyes. "Hey, you don't have to worry, I'm not gonna hurt you. I'm a friend." she said as gently as before. The boy, even still looking at her with those eyes of his, reached out his hand to touch her own, but only made it to her finger. Maigo nor the boy moved, as he seemed mildly surprised that she didn't pull any tricks out of her sleeve yet. She quietly let out a goodhearted chuckle. "I'm going to keep you safe, no worries." she said.

Finally, the boy put his hand in hers, although he wasn't smiling a bit. "Of course, I understand why you don't trust me that much." she said. "I'll earn your trust, hm? Like I said before, I have not the slightest intention of hurting you. I don't want to hurt you. Hey, and I'll guard you, even..." she whispered.

Vance had watched the preceding the burial outside, noticing the way the vampires shied away from Reks. Must be the absence of 50 some odd vampires that's got them so scared... His pricked up at the sound of footsteps as Maigo walked past, and then again when she walked back.

After she re-entered the parent's bedroom, he heard another set of footsteps, lighter than Maigo's. He stood up and walked to the bedroom. "Oh hey, the kids awake." The boy, noticing Vance, shied away towards Maigo. "It's alright, I'm not gonna hurt you. I just wanted to see how you're doing." He reached his hand out to pat the boy on the hand and received a bite on his palm for it.
